About Me

Where do I start…?

I’m a Yankee. I grew up miles away from Texas and found my way to Austin almost a decade ago. I spent most of my formative years in pointe shoes or with my nose nestled in a book. I love to learn and dedicated my 20s to chasing higher education the fruit of which has secured me with two undergraduate degrees and one graduate degree.

Beyond the books, I invest my time into yoga and writing. At home in Austin, I’m easily found daydreaming literary prose from libraries and coffee shops or frequenting my neighborhood studio. I’m an eager student and devout practitioner; I am hungry for knowledge and love meeting individuals who share my insatiable thirst for more.

A true hedonist at heart, I seek pleasure and affection in addition to intellectual connection. I believe eye contact is the most sincere way to actively listen and my favorite place to get lost is in conversation.

INTERESTS

I’m a voracious reader & love spending nowhere-to-be-afternoons in the company of great or sometimes ‘okay’ literature. I have a deep affection for Fitzgerald, Vonnegut & Cormac McCarthy & my heart-on for Hemingway is both cliche & crushing, as I find his poignant precision of prose to be absolute mastery. He was a maverick & perhaps literature’s last of his kind. Similar in structure yet long-winded in a way that remains succinct, Chuck Klosterman folds fact into fiction like everyone you know who’s ever retold a time-old-tale-turned-nostalgic anecdote but better.

I love the smooth pop of vinyl, brisk mountain air & moments youfeel.* I write & am secure with my tendency to deliver lengthy monologues (with an obvious affection for alliteration) I’m an insatiably curious girl. I possess a penchant for the pursuit of knowledge because the world is wild & full of wonderment & I long to get lost in chase of curiosity. If YOU are curious about more, simply ask.
